Interview with the Galloping Gourmet

HOLY FUCKING SHIT they actually let me talk to this guy.

Quick clarification: the comparison to Guy Fieri was identified by my editor Matt Rodbard (saliently, I might add), and it’s not meant as an insult. Like Fieri, Graham Kerr enjoyed wide appeal from a largely average Joe (or Jill)-type audience, leading him to be openly derided by his peers. But unlike Fieri, Kerr was a cook by birth, having grown up in hotel kitchens and cooking in the military as a young man. It was so great to have a chance to learn more about Kerr’s life and the impact he made on American home cooks.
