I’m not Irish, so the beerbro amateur hour dreckfest that is St Patrick’s Day has never really meant anything to me other than another fine excuse to make shepherd’s pie. Here’s an outstanding iteration: a rich ragu of ground Anderson Ranches lamb (raised right here on sweet Willamette Valley grasses), topped with a colcannon of mashed russets, melted leeks, fresh mint and bitter greens (plus TONS of butter, natch), then finished with white cheddar and parsley from the garden. The ground lamb, which I can’t get enough of, is available from @nicky.usa — you still have plenty of time to score your own before the green beer floods the streets! 🥧 🐑 🥔 🍀 #meatconcierge #lamb #irishfood #andersonfamilyranches #lecreuset #shepherdspie #stpatricksday #f52grams #potatoes #mashedpotatoes #drippy #saucy #sundaysupper #seasonal #holidays #foodstagram #instagood #huffposttaste #buzzfeast #bonappetit A post shared by Heather Arndt Anderson (@heatherarndtanderson) on Mar 11, 2018 at 5:20pm PDT
